Lita Rossana Ford often referred to as Lita Ford is a British American guitarist vocalist and songwriter who played lead guitar of the all-girl rock band The Runaways in the late 1970s.Their music and their rebellious lyrics helped them get noticed throughout the world of rock. The band didn't have any fans within the United States. However, their popularity grew overseas and especially in Japan. Ford launched a solo heavy-metal career after the breakup from her band in 1979. She began taking voice classes and then released her first album "Out to Blood" and then "Dancin" at the Edge. Ford failed to make much with either album and disappeared from the world of rock for a decade. Ford returned to the scene in 1988 with her wildly successful album 'Lita which was released in 1988. The single 'Kiss Me Deadly and the ballad "Close My Eyes Forever' were both major hits. However, her popularity was not long-lasting and she vanished in the world of music for many years. Her release of Black in 1995 was followed by fifteen-year delay for the album 'Wicked Wonderland. The album "Time Capsule" was made available by her in the year 2016. Guitar Player Magazine awarded her the Certified Guitar Legend Award.
