April Bowlby is an American actress and model. She is known for portraying Kandi on the CBS comedy show Two and a Half Men Stacy Barrett on Drop Dead Diva as well as Rita Farr on Titans and Doom Patrol. April Michelle Bowlby was born in New York City. Her most well-known role is for her role as Stacy Barrett, the American television character from Drop Dead Diva and Kandi in Two and a Half Men. Her modeling career started with modeling before she was able to make her way into films and TV series. The first time she appeared on screen came as an extra on the series CSI: Crime Scene Investigation then single-episode roles in different series. Then she landed the iconic role as Kandi for Two and a Half Men. Bowlby's role as Stacy Barrett on the series Drop Dead Diva earned her not only fame but also recognition across the globe. Bowlby played the role as Rita Farr/Elastigirl for the American web series Titans. A spin-off of the series Doom Patrol will see her playing the role. Bowlby was also featured in TV films such as Sands of Oblivion and The Wrong Daughter. Bowlby made her debut on the large screen in All Roads Lead Home, then appeared as a character in The Slammin Salmon as well as From Prada to Nada. Bowlby was a student at East Union High School in Manteca the state of California. Her move to the area was as a young child. In the beginning, before deciding to pursue acting as a profession her studies included French and ballet at Moorpark College. She studied with Ivana Chaubbuck. She was offered a part in a television program (Kandi, Two and a Half Men), shortly following having her Hollywood audition. Bowlby has been on numerous TV programs including CSI with the role of Kaitlin Rackish in 2004 CSI: NY as Jenny Lee in 2005. Freddie as Sydney in 2005. She also appeared on Stacked as Jasmine in 2005, and How I Met Your Mother in the role of Meg in 2007. In the past, Bowlby has played the character as Natasha as Natasha in All Roads Lead Home a film that was released in 2007 and follows a 12 year old girl that loses her mother in a car collision. Bowlby is starring in the upcoming 2008 comedy film The Slammin Salmon as Mia. The actress lives in Los Angeles. Naturally red-haired, she has blue eyes. She is single and has no children.
